Joan Bourns, who died on 13 September, 2008, worked tirelessly to establish a hospice service for
adults in Bristol.
Mrs Bourns, one of the founders of St Peter's Hospice, had been suffering with cancer and died aged
89.
Joan will be sadly missed by all her friends and family.
Those we love must someday pass,
Beyond our present sight,
Must leave us and the world we know,
Without their radiant light,
And in the realms of heaven,
Where they shine so warm and bright,
Our angels live forever,
In Gods eternal light. xxx
